What is Phonemics Awareness?
Definition of “Phonemic Awareness”
The awareness of sounds that make up spoken words.
(Williams, 1995 )
The importance of “Phonemic Awareness”
Once children have some degree of phonemic awareness and letter knowledge they can begin to
that make up our written language-that is, they begin to read.
Levels of Phonemic Awareness
1.Knowledge of nursery rhymes
認識押韻字、歌唱並大聲朗讀歌詞,例如:telling children that rhyming words sound the same at the end.
2.Oddity tasks
認識 beginning / ending / medial sound,
例如:which word does not rhyme? grow, row, how
3.Blending and syllable-splitting
分辨單字中每個字母的聲音、練習將字母的聲音組合起來成唯一個字
4.Phonemic segmentation
能夠聽出單字中每個字母的聲音,例如:tap for each sound you hear in the word go.
5.Phoneme manipulation
能夠操弄音素,例如:Say the word will without /w/
在研習中Julie分享Sight words的活動─相反詞配對
活動中所有老師們都非常熱烈參與,相信將此活動帶到班上孩子也亦然喔!!

再Sight words結束前Julie將老師們分為四組,以"red""blue"分別教
幼兒中班,大班,小兒童一二年級,中年級

和家長或班主任溝通時絕對更具有專業的知識來應對。
希望ETG精心幫老師們安排的研習與例會節目能讓老師們於教書之餘
還能獲得不一樣的充電資源,當然每個月固定的第三個星期日,也不希望佔據老師們太多的私人時間,
期盼大家都能有此共識,老師們的參與才是我們的原動力,
更期待有更多的原動力讓我們能給予老師們更多更豐富的資源,進而彼此共同成長茁壯。
