Overview : 1. Letter Bb 2:Moon Festival
Level(s) : Kindergarten
Objectives :
Students will be able to:
1. name the capital letter B and small letter b
2 Know the order of alphabet
3. Say the poem of “Moon”
Materials :
1. Apron
2. Some circle cards with letters
3.pan, spoon and letter strips for singing Alphabet soup
4. Rope for making letter
5. Poster of Moon
Warm up :
1. Greeting- Co co Christne Co Co Chrisitne
2. 1-5 Have students follow teacher to count 1-5 with varied actions
3. Alphabet soup
Presentation :
Present Letter Bb- Show the kids capital B and tell them the story about capital B. (story: Mother B likes burgers) Then show small letter b. (Baby b likes burgers as well.) Story: B B bear. B B bird.
Tell the kids "bear "and "bird "start with the letter B. Have kids say the chant” B B bear, B B bird”
Divide kids into bird team and bear team
Practice:
Have kids to find mother B and baby b.
Use a rope to make mother B and have kids read and stand in it.
Production:
Put all the circle cards back and make sure kids can know the difference between mother B and baby b.
Moon Festival teaching:
Poem: I see the moon and the moon sees me. And the moon sees somebody I want to see. God blesses the moon. And god blesses me.And God blesses somebody I want to see.
Have kids open book and find letter Bb
Wrap up: (tune: Are you sleeping?)
Good-bye mother B . Good-bye baby b
Good-bye bear Good-bye bird.
